Chris’ musical history and training is vast and varied. This is part of the reason he is so often called upon for his musical skills with musicians looking for someone that can stand in for a truly professional performance.
Starting with a rock n’ roll beginning, gave Chris the attitude and confidence crucial to any great bassist. Learning in the more structured and formal atmosphere at the University of North Texas, Chris learned what it means to interweave harmony, melody, and groove altogether in a singular expression of pure joy.
Studying with such greats as Lynn Seaton, Neil Slater, Ed Soph, and Dan Haerle, Chris came to realize his potential. With this refined knowledge and “new” ears, Chris became a disciple of the groove.
An ongoing quest for him to make each bass line “feel” like it is the only bass line that should/could exist for each song.
