INSTALLATION TIPS FOR SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE
Step 1: Which set do I need?
Before opening your strings, make sure you purchased the correct scale set for your bass.

Step 2: Install Your Strings Properly
We recommend professional installation and setup whenever possible to get the optimal performance out of your strings and bass.

Step 3: Check Your Setup
Most buzzing, tuning, and intonation issues are setup-related rather than string-related.
Neck Relief / Truss Rod Adjustment:
If buzzing occurs primarily between the 3rd and 9th frets, the neck may be too flat or back-bowed.
String Installation:
Ensure the ball end is fully seated in the bridge and that the string is not twisted during installation. Twisted strings can cause:
• Buzzing
• Tuning instability
• Premature breakage
• Poor intonation
Fret Wear:
Uneven or worn frets can create buzzing, dead spots, and inconsistent playability.
Nut Slot Fit:
Changing string gauges may require nut-slot adjustment.
Nut Slot Too High
• Stiff feel near the first frets
• Notes play sharp on lower frets
Nut Slot Too Low
• Open-string buzzing
• Reduced sustain
• Dead notes
