When the team set out to create our 5-string P bass our goal was to maintain a pre-CBS feel and sound as we did on our 4-string model. We embodied all the pre-CBS magic into this 63’ inspired J bass we could. The team approached this model in the same manner when we first decided to build our very first P bass. With the most discerning vintage players in mind, our main goal was to take the player back to what the original “Holy Grail” models were made of. These J bass include our hand shaped bodies and neck, our hand wound pickups, and nitro finishes. The one modern touch we add to all of our instruments are the dual action truss rods that provide unparalleled stability.
