Having met at age five, learning to write and play music together, Moratbegan as a group of friends and ended up as one of Colombia’s most promi- nent and fastest growing bands in recent years. With less tan two yearssince they entered the public eye, they’ve gotten signed by Universal MusicSpain and have amassed six platinum records: four in Spain for their smash hit single “Cómo te atreves”, which was #1 in Itunes and various radio lists for a good part of 2016, and two, also in Spain, for “Mi nuevo vicio”, a song they wrote and performed, alongside Paulina Rubio in 2015, which alsotopped Mexican radio airtime charts. They’ve also received a goldenrecord, certified last month for sales in Colombia. They have over 80 million views in their YouTube channel and over 1.5 million monthly listeners inSpotify. With these songs they’ve had the opportunity to perform in variousprime-time Spanish TV shows, which have audiences counting above themillions. They’ve shared scenarios with the likes of Nick Jonas, Julieta Ve-negas, Fangoria, Alan Walker, Estopa, The Corrs, Fito y los Fitipaldis,among many others.
They have also played in Los40 Music Awards in Madrid this past Decem-ber alongside Maná, Jason Derulo, Robbie Williams, Maluma, Leiva, Dani Martín and J Balvin. This all adds to the fact that they have been nomina-ted for the 2016 Latin Grammy Award on the “Best New Artist” category, for the 2016 Los40 Music Awards on “Song of the Year”, “Best New Artist” and “Lo +40 Artist” categories, having won the “Best New Artist” award, and for the Premios Shock 2016 on the “Best New Artist” category. 2016 has been a crazy year for the band. Apart from all that’s been men- tioned before, they released their first full length album, “Sobre el amor y sus efectos secundarios”, which included collaborations with Cali y elDandee, the hit Colombian duo, and “Mi Nuevo Vicio” with Paulina Rubio,all during a six month trip to Spain which included a nation-wide tour of the peninsula. The tour included concerts that topped 50,000 people in the audience. During their tour they landed amazing endorsement deals with Gibson Guitars, as well as with Cajones LaRosa. Since their return to Co-lombia, where they live and study, they’ve been coming and going be- tween Colombia and Madrid for various concerts and have confirmedshows both in México and Ecuador. The band is going to go to México forfive months in 2017 to do a nation-wide promotional tour, as well as two 2017 nation-wide tours of Spain, for one month during spring and for three months during the last months of the summer.
