The Super Alloy 52 Series is the brain child of Eric Cocco (VP of La Bella Strings) and Grammy-Award winning artist Redd Volkaert. The two saw the need for a durable, non-coated electric guitar string, but didn't want the durability to interfere with the tone or feel of the string. The Super Alloy 52 Series is now very popular with contemporary guitarists because these strings are both bright and tarnish-proof.

The new design of the outer wrap contains a high iron content (48%). This increases the string's magnetic properties therefore enhances its electronic response. The wrap's alloy also includes a high content of nickel (52%) preventing the strings from tarnishing. The Super Alloy 52 Series is available in Extra Light, Light, Regular and Blues Medium.
